WRMD 4.0 Starting Launch December 14th!

We’re thrilled to announce that WRMD 4.0 will start launch onSunday, December 14th.

WRMD will be offline for data migration from 3PM – 11:00PM PST on December 14th

While the site will be available afterward, some data will continue migrating for up to 24 hours.

Scheduled Downtime

WRMD will be offline for scheduled migration on:
December 14th from 3:00 PM PST to approximately 11:00 PM PST

  • During this window, WRMD will be completely unavailable.

  • WRMD will stay offline from 3:00 PM–11:00 PM PST, and your account will be available again after 11:00 PM PST on December 14th.

  • For live updates you can visit the WRMD 4.0 webpage.

What to Expect During Launch Day

  • The main migration happens relatively quickly, and most patient data will be ready when you first log in.

  • Some other migrations, like lab data and attachments, will continue to migrate, even after WRMD 4.0 becomes available.

  • WRMD will be available again at 11:00 PM on December 14th, and you may log in at that time. However, certain data types will continue migrating for up to 24 hours. All remaining data should be fully migrated by 11:00 PM PST on December 15th.

What You Can Do to Prepare

Please take a few minutes before launch to help us ensure a clean transition:

  • Verify that all user email addresses in your account are valid.

  • Remove users who no longer need access.

  • Update your profile and organization information.

  • Review your species list and correct any unidentified or misidentified species.

  • Print out and be ready to use paper forms to record new patients and other patient data that needs to be recorded on that day.

A clean dataset means a smoother migration into WRMD 4.0.

You do NOT need to:

  • Export your data (we have full backups).

  • Stop using WRMD before 3 PM PST on launch day.

  • Recreate your settings—these will migrate automatically.

What We've Been Working On

Our team has been preparing for months to ensure a smooth transition:

  • Faster performance and increased server capacity.

  • Stronger security, including optional two-factor authentication.

  • A more intuitive, easier-to-use interface.

  • Feedback from WRMD users and beta testers has been incorporated throughout.

  • Test migrations have been run repeatedly to ensure data accuracy and a clean migration.

Thank you for being part of the WRMD community and helping us make this next version the best yet!
